Computer Aided Manufacturing Software

Semi-finishing

This phase, a model that unevenly approximates the original object is produced. Common strategies used in this phase are constant step-over passes, raster passes, and waterline passes.

Finishing

This is the final stage and in many ways it is similar to semi-finishing.

As 2D and 3D simulations could be easily developed, CAM software is now widely used in the areas of mechanical engineering, electronic design automation, in making printed circuit board and also in integrated circuit design data for manufacturing.
